Assessments

Dr. Walker offers a variety of assessments to help clients become more self-aware and learn new ways to achieve personal and professional goals. Individually, each assessment is a powerful developmental tool with a proven track record of helping leaders understand how their behaviors and preferences may impact their effectiveness. 


Assessments may also be used together to  provide a comprehensive picture of leadership as well as detailed and integrated feedback about individuals’ strengths and developmental opportunities on a range of leadership facets. They provide a safe, confidential, reliable and economical way for people to learn more about how they work, how they show up, and how they interact with others around them.


Assessments provide a good starting place for coaching as it offers a great opportunity for questions customized to a specific situation. Surprises in assessment results often lead to profound breakthroughs.


Assessments are offered as a standalone service, and can also be built directly into a coaching package.

A few examples of how you might apply assessments to your personal and/or professional development:

  • If you are engaged in coaching to boost leadership competencies, EQ-i2.0 is a great starting place. The Hogan or Birkman are great follow-up assessments to drill down into the specifics.


  • If your work is focused on team development, the EQ 360 is a powerful tool, as well as Birkman or Hogan. Your work may be around talent selection or career development, and the right assessment will provide reliable answers in a short amount of time.


  • Let’s say you are unhappy in your current job and you want clarity on how to figure out your next move. Assessments can provide you with answers. You might complete the NBI, which will give you a clear understanding of your thinking preferences. The NBI profile gives an indication of how you communicate, how you act towards other people, how you do business, how you learn as well as how you teach, how content you would be in a certain career, make decisions, etc. You also might complete the Birkman and get information that helps you make a specific and suitable career choice.

Lisa has worked to become a Certified Analyst for the following assessments, each of which is available to clients based on individual needs, goals and desires. She will administer the assessment and conduct a debrief afterward so clients are equipped with the tools they need to go forth and apply the results.

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence refers to a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.


Emotional Intelligence is a significant contributor to success as a leader and in managing relationships.  

EQ-i2.0 Assessments

The EQ-i2.0 is a 133 question self-assessment that explores the frequency of and role that sixteen different elements of emotional well-being play in your life, by applying the fifteen skills in this new model together with happiness as an indicator of emotional and social well-being. Supported by extensive research, the five areas of self-perception, self-expression, interpersonal, decision making, and stress management frame the use of the related skills that make up the key dimensions of this assessment. The EQ-i2.0 yields standardized scores, which means your score compared to the recently developed norm group (the general population), for the sixteen skill areas.

NBI Assessments

The NBI Thinking Preference Assessments are a powerful suite of neuroscience based psychological assessments. Based on modern insights from the fields of neuroscience, creativity and psychology, the assessments help individuals, leaders, teams and organizations unlock their full potential. The NBI framework provides insights into left hemisphere (local processing), right hemisphere (global processing), cognitive and affective types of thinking. Such insights can lead to enhancement in the areas of social-emotional intelligence, self-awareness, creativity, leadership, communication, team performance, presentations, conflict resolution and more.
